Meeting, Mingling & Negotiating at The Business Travel Show February 8th & 9th 2011 by Muireann King

This yearly exhibition is a favourite here at The Apartment Service, this year did not disappoint. We are celebrating our 30th birthday this year & we used the exhibition to launch the celebrations. Personnel in attendance at the show included Melanie Degand, Sara Calvo, Kim Ashmore, Nancy Mills, Tess Smith, Christian Benoit and me Muireann King. Business was brisk with a constant flow of industry buyers, suppliers and fellow exhibitors. Cards were exchanged, contacts were made and we are confident that some fantastic business will follow. Of course all work and no play makes for a dull life so some of us eagerly took up the invitation to an evening at The Supper Club – a very original super cool venue with an amazing acrobatic performance! We are looking forward to next year.

The Apartment Service introduces our new Business and Administration Manager – Spain by Esther Munoz Tong

The Apartment Service expansion is truly relentless. We are very happy to welcome new staff Mariel Martinez, who brings a whole wealth of regional sales experience and who will play an important role to further develop the Spanish speaking markets.

Mariel will be dealing with general administration, as well as accounting and management of Roomspace Spain (starting with Apartments Sandoval in Madrid), including sales and marketing activities to offer the Company’s varied booking services to Spanish speaking companies and organisations which The Apartment Service regularly provides, as well as for those looking for accommodation solutions anywhere else in the world. Mariel will be also looking to network and build stronger relationships with other property providers and specialist suppliers in the industry of corporate housing and relocation.

On January 19th The Apartment Service started with its first open day of 2011... by Admin


We started with breakfast at 8:00am in Groveland Court and offered our guests a selection of Almond & All Butter Croissants, Fresh Fruit, Coffee and Orange Juice. At lunchtime we took the event over to Watling Street where we had a tasty selection of Snacks and Sandwiches with more refreshments on hand for our afternoon visitors.


During the evening we made our way over to Chancery Lane where our Sterling House properties are situated. Our guests enjoyed some hot drinks and then a wine tasting that made things more interesting. The Apartment Service is finding that our wine tasting events are well received and they allow people to imagine themselves relaxing in the warm surroundings of one of our luxury apartments. All in the middle of the busy City of London!
